PSE were appointed to provide structural design services for a new retail unit and extending the existing forecourt of a service station. A steel frame solution was adopted due to a predominantly glazed front elevation and to achieve large open plan space internally. The sub-structure comprised of piled foundations due to varying ground levels on site and adjoining neighbouring garages.
